...Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.

Luke 15:18-19
preface
Montgomerie Beliveau was the oldest member of the Beliveau family in St. Tammany Parish. He was a wealthy gentleman that lived with his three daughters: Mari, Annie, and Jo.
Monty met his wife, when he was her escort for the Mardi Gras festival. Antoinette Guilotte was crowned the Mardi Gras festival queen for St. Tammany. Monty and Antoinette danced together that evening. He loved her smile, light colored hair, and her bright green eyes. He loved the way she had to look up to him to meet his gaze. Monty was considered tall, dark, and handsome. Where Antoinette was bubbly and warm, he was reserved and shy. She looked and acted so much in contrast of Monty and his family.
He knew immediately he would marry this woman.
After he graduated with his business degree from Louisiana State, he did just that. Monty and his wife invested into the oil and energy markets. After two years of marriage, Antoinette gave birth to tiny baby girl with Monty's dark hair and her bright green eyes. She named her Marielle Marseille.
Once Monty became a father, he realized he needed to start producing more income for his tiny family. During the next 4 years, he took out loans from the Gulf Coast Regional Savings and Trust Company. He took on incredible financial risk, but Monty purchased 25 wells. During this time, Antoinette gave birth to another girl. Montgomerie named her Anneliese Chamonix. He named her after his mother. Annie resembled more of the Beliveau side of the family with dark hair, skin, and eyes.
Over time, several of his wells produced several millions of dollars. He founded the Beliveau Energy Corporation. He purchased a plantation style home. His wife became an active and respected member in Louisiana society. The Beliveau Mardi Gras and Christmas parties were the talk of St. Tammany parish. Monty and Antoinette were active members of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. They were respected and celebrated members of the community.
Six years after the birth of Anneliese, Jolie Lyon was born. Jolie looked more like the Guilotte side of the family with her blond hair and bright green eyes.
He was able to sell Beliveau Energy. This gave him more time to devote to his family. Family, to Montgomerie Beliveau, next to God, was the most important thing in life. He made sure his daughters had everything they wanted in life.
They went to St. Teresa's School for Girls. Marielle graduated as the sole valedictorian of her class. Anneliese excelled in art, and Jolie was voted as most popular student.
Each girl attended finishing school, per Antoinette's request. (Jo was the only girl that enjoyed it.) The Beliveau ladies were all debutantes. Each young lady was also a part of the St. Tammany Mardi Gras court. Both Marielle and Jolie were actually selected as queen at one time.
While Annie never became the Mardi Gras queen, like her lovely mother, she was enchanted by her escort to the festival, a young man named, Jacob Breaux. He frequently visited the Beliveau home, much to Monty's chagrin. Mari, too, became annoyed with his saccharin demeanor. She couldn't put her finger on it, but there was something about him she didn't like. While Monty and Marielle could hardly stand to be around Jacob, Antoinette and Jo found him to be charming and cordial. He was kind to Annie, anyway, who could be so moody and shy.
Yes, Montgomerie and Antoinette worked very hard, but they gave their very best to their daughters -even if they didn't always appreciate it.
